Years ago, I began using the term “multi-dimensional” to try to describe the dimensions that I perceive as I work with my clients. What it boils down to is this: I work on the whole man. So what exactly does that mean? We have a physical body. It’s our earthsuit. It’s made up of cells, muscles, bones, blood and fluids. It’s all the stuff that we can see, touch, feel; and is measurable through medical technology. It’s all contained within the skin. The skin is a highly organized sensory organ. It is the largest organ in your body. It’s like the “outer brain”. Skin protects us from disease; regulates body temperature; helps in detoxification. There are so many more functions that it does but I’ll not address those here. It does however connect us to our inner world as well as our outer world. I want to break it down a little further for you. EVERYTHING, every cell, tissue, and organ down to the sub-cellular structure is then imbedded, supported by and surrounded with and given shape to what we experience as our body by a connective tissue called fascia.
Patti’s Rolfing expertise puts me at ease with the process and we are able to work together to facilitate inner release of tension or trauma, which translates to powerful shifts on multiple levels – emotionally, spiritually and physically. Her loving care creates a safe environment to move deeply within and is unlike all other work I have experienced. MORE TESTIMONIALS
